Our Services with Print Methods
We do Vinyl print, DTF print, Screen print and digital transfer print. see below for details.

1

Vinyl Print

Flex or Flock vinyl is used for vinyl print. The process begins with a vector design being created, which is then cut into the vinyl using a plot-cutting machine, before finally being pressed onto the garment with a heat press (basically a really big iron).

Most designs are single colour, but a combination of up to four colours can be used together in one design.

The vinyl printing process is best suited for text, such as slogans, names, numbering for sports teams or simple line designs. The material is very durable and will last the life of the garment. It is machine washable up to 80°c and can be used on any colour and any garments.

There are many vinyl colours available including Metallic, Neon, Glitter, Sparkle and the new Fashion range.

There is no set up cost required for vinyl printing so pricing is per item only unless a non-standard font is selected. The cost is dependent on the size of the design and the amount of detail. Vinyl print is less expensive than embroidery but for complicated drawings original vector artwork is required.

DTF Print

DTF stands for Direct-to-Film printing, is considered one of the latest and best print methods due toits versatility and ability to work on a wide range of fabrics. It offers full-color, gradients, and photos, making it suitable for various applications.

DTF printing also provides durable

prints with strong wash performance when pressed properly.

How DTF print works:

A digital design is created using software like Photoshop, Illustrator, or CorelDRAW, then printed onto PET film using a DTF printer with specialized textile inks. Hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the printed design to ensure it bonds with the fabric. The design is transferred from the film to the garment using a heat press. After pressing, the film is removed, leaving the design permanently embedded on the fabric.

Advantages of DTF Print:

DTF print Works on almost any fabric type and some non-textile materials. DTF print produces sharp, detailed, and vibrant designs. the print are resistant to washing and fading. Suitable for small batches or large-scale production.

3

Screen Print

Screen printing is the most traditional method. It involves the application of colour to the garment, normally by ink. In order to screen print an item, the design has to be separated into the component colours. This is done by vectored design programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or CorelDraw. Each colour then has a separate screen produced using light reactive chemicals. The screen consists of a very fine mesh surface where the chemical has been exposed to light. The ink can then be directly screen printed onto a garment. The garment are placed on a solid board. The colours are then applied individually by placing the screen on top of the garment and forcing the printers ink through the relevant screen onto the fabric.

The advantages of screen printing are it's durability with long lasting wash resistance. A very fine detail can be achieved together with multi colour designs and sharp and vibrant finishes. This process can be used for most designs on any garment.

Screen printing has a one-off set up cost for each colour or/and design. It is excellent when combining large areas and large quantities from a cost point of view but is uneconomic for small orders requiring more than one colour. Normal orders would be for 30 items and over. Ideally for customers who anticipate many re-orders using the same design, and for designs where pantone colours need to be matched.
